Research Goals
To understand how integrins are regulated on leukocytes, how signals from integrins like LFA-1 cause leukocytes to migrate and how LFA-1 functions in vivo. To discover how the S100 proteins MRP-8 and -14 influence leukocyte function in vitro and in vivo.

PhD 1971 University of London.
Postdoctoral work at NIMR Mill Hill, UCL and Cold Spring Harbor Labs.
Head of Imperial Cancer Research Fund (now know as Cancer Research UK) laboratory since 1982.
